I propose 4 changes to fix the "cheating death" thing.

1- When you press the button to move, your ship doesn't vanish, it only vanishes when you actually move at the end of the timer.
2- If you do any actions with your ship while the countdown is running, the move is aborted and timer must begin anew.
3- The timer starts when you press the button to move so as to avoid exploiting the timer and your ship vanish at the end of the countdown only.
4- 30 seconds timer.

This system was implemented to get yourself faster to the action, NOT CHEAT DEATH. People use it mostly to cheat death, the proposed changes would mostly fix this, not completely mind you, but it would at least make it much harder.
