I had an idea to make the American CA line more appealing.  How about replacing the T9 with the Baltimore,  making it a lower tier ship, you could lower it's Dp to be appropriate for that level, and making the end tier American ship the Alaska class Battlecruiser. They built 3 of them in the war and they Had 3X3 12 inch guns and 2X6 5 inch dual purpose guns. That would be a much more attracattractive end tier cruiser, as currently the 3 American CA are just carbon copies of eachother. Here is a link .
